The “living lexicon” from city hall

The 'living lexicon' from city hall

Angelika pinnau joined the board of trustees exactly 40 years ago, on 2. July 1973, as a 23-year-old, she began her service in the town hall of marktbreit.

First she worked part-time and then, since october 1989, full-time. She recalls her first day at work with a smile during her 40th anniversary ceremony at the town hall on tuesday: "I went to work at the town hall early in the morning and wanted to report to my superior, but he was not there. Because no one knew what to do with me, I waited until the burgermeister arrived."

Mayor, however, angelika pinnau has had her work cut out for her. In her time in office, she alone experienced four mayors in marktbreit and a total of 16 in the administrative community (VG). She has a good relationship of trust with the incumbent mayor, erich hegwein, who presented her with an honorary certificate from the state of bavaria together with a gift, which the mayor also praised.

Hegwein recalled: "when i first started as a chamberlain in marktbreit in 1989, mrs. Pinnau took over the role of sergeant-at-arms and symbolically took me by the hand as a newcomer in the house."It is no wonder that erich hegwein feels a certain discomfort when he imagines that angelika pinnau will no longer be there in a few years. "She is our living lexicon in the town hall and after mrs. Heringer the longest here; she knows the whole palette."

After her vocational training, she first worked as a typist from 1969 to 1973 and, on the advice of a friend, applied to the VG marktbreit as a part-time typist. She was given the vacant position and stepped down on 2. The office began its work in the town hall of marktbreit on july 1973; in 1978, it was taken over by the VG and dealt with financial, budgetary, asset and debt management as well as real estate. Since the 1. October 1989 she worked full time, and for over 20 years she has also been a typist.

Wolfgang schmer, member of the chamber of commerce, also congratulated on the anniversary. He spoke of her as an employee on whom he could rely every day. Barbara hummel congratulated on behalf of the staff council. In addition to the certificate and the gift, angelika pinnau also received a day of special leave and an anniversary bonus, which she will find on her july pay slip.
